This happened. Here’s to another year of wedded bliss. And yes, I had a mullet. I’m not proud of it, but you can’t change history.
Because this is Oppo, this post has to have a car in it. My beloved ‘88 Fox.

We couldn't afford a limo, nor would we have wanted to. Actually, I was too hammered to drive after the reception. My brother drove us to the hotel.

It was cheap! On sale! And yes, Mrs. Ttyymmnn looked stunning. Somebody asked if I was going to play trumpet for my own wedding. I said no, and I’m glad I did. When those doors opened at the back of the church, I could barely swallow, let alone play trumpet.

Better? Not really. You could still by my kid.

When I moved to Houston, the mullet was soon gone. It was too damned hot.

So what if you had a mullet, she didn't have one and still agreed to marry you. Congrats!

Yep, it is too hot for long hair in Houston. Having lived there, I think it may be worse than Baton Rouge. The heat and humidity are about the same, but over here we have more large trees providing shade.

30, if you count the 4 years of courting before the wedding. We met (officially, it’s a long story) in 1986.

I chased my wife for 10 years before she married me, with four of those dating. I was the source of a few of her breakups those first 6 years....

The groomsmen were all wearing lavender bow ties and cummerbunds. As a group, they chose to wear matching lavender socks. I called privilege and wore black tie and cummerbund. The white coats were my dad’s idea, since it was an afternoon wedding.

Purple socks! Brother, the Donnie Osmond look was out by then! Of course, I forfeited the right to say anything by wearing silver tails to my prom.
Mrs. Chariot also got her dress off the rack for a good price, and like your bride, she was beautiful enough in it for the both of us.

“SUCKER!” lol aren’t friends great?
My dad’s friends tied a literal ball and chain around his ankle during the dance at his wedding in ‘89.
Now I take the plunge this September. I hope it goes as well as yours has. Congrats!

They also wrote FPFL. I’ll let you figure out what that means.
Best wishes on you upcoming wedding. Congratulations!

26 years ago? Damn, you’re old. Well, congratulations and here’s hoping for another 26 years.
Consider yourself lucky, you’re doing better than I did. A year and a half ago, I had been married for 26 years when my wife came up to me one evening and told me she was getting a divorce. Oh well, that’s the way it goes.

Yeah, I’m old, and only getting older. Sorry to hear about the break up.
